Biography:

Beetle, in Marvel Comics, is a name associated with multiple characters. The most well-known is probably Abner Jenkins.

Abner Jenkins first appeared as Beetle in Tales to Astonish #39 (January 1963). He was originally an aircraft mechanic who, bored with his job, used his technical skills to create a suit of armor and embark on a criminal career.

Over time, the Beetle armor and Jenkins himself evolved. He became associated with various supervillain teams and even adopted the identity of MACH-I as part of the Thunderbolts. The Beetle mantle has also been used by others.
